How Food Affects Your Blood Sugar

Presented By Mary Lavelle, Registered Dietitian & Diabetes Educator

54 million Americans have pre-diabetes and recent research has shown that some long-term damage to the body, especially the heart and circulatory system, may already be occurring during pre-diabetes. Research has also shown that you can delay or prevent type 2 diabetes from ever developing if you take action to manage your blood glucose.

Join Mary Lavelle, Masters prepared Registered Dietitian, for a presentation on diabetes and its complications. Learn about the affects of food and beverages on your blood sugar and discover what changes are helpful in preventing or managing type 2 diabetes.

Diabetes screening provided prior to presentation (9:00—10:30) by appointment.
